This Is How Facebook And Google Controls You

October 12, 2011 2 comments

Google and facebook  are the two legends of the internet that no one will ever challenge to.. clearly now some people can’t even live without these websites. and everyone know that these website do bring some value into your lives.. but what u don’t realize is  how these websites control your life.. its not just about googe and facebook.. many  other major websites like yahoo, msn, twitter, bing  are doing the same thing.

few of years ago these websites were controlled by human editors who managed them according to our needs.. but now it has been taken over by algorithms which only shows us only what we want.. which they decide according to our likes  interests.. and because of this we miss out many things we needs to know.. just imagine when you type a name of a country into google to find about a breaking news and first link you come up with is about justin biber. that has happen to me many times.  and i agree that sometimes its good that these websites gives us many interesting things according to our interests.. but sometimes we miss out many important things we need to know just because of that.

In the following video it has been clearly explained by Eli Pariser  (the former Executive Director of MoveOn.org) honestly even I didn’t realise about  this truth  until i watch this video. so i decided to share it here so many people can know about it.

This video clip has been adapted from the conference held in long beach california, february 2011

Robot Baby Does Not Look Like A Baby At All

The iCub robot Baby

iCub robot is the latest  Robot inline made by the RobotCub Consortium which mimics the movements of a human child. While it does some  awesome and cool moves it also looks creepy in a many ways. and most of all it doesnt looks like a baby at all. to me it looks like a Casper with legs.

This robot is currently being considered as a contender for the next Olympic torch bearer. might be a another big surprise for the world. putting aside all the creepiness, iCub robot  is a great invention to the robotics world.

Facebook Is Not As Secured As You Think.

October 8, 2011 2 comments

Do you use facebook  regularly..?

Do you share Your Photo’s, Videos and Your Recent Activities On Facebook..?

If  so, then this  Article is For You…

According to a new study at Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute in Pittsburgh showed that it’s possible to find your social security number using only a face recognition software. they have found that just by taking a picture of a person  and comparing it with facebook, it is possible to find lots of personal information about that person. so this means that your identity is not so secured as you thought it might be. also you could be at  risk of fraud, invasions of privacy or worse.

facebook is the most famous social networking site in the world. more than 800 million people uses it everyday. and we never hesitate to share our personal photos, videos or we even share everything we do in real life with our facebook friends. but do you ever stop to wonder what happens  if some fake person in your friends list uses your name, phone number, email for any frauds. it is possible and very easy than you think it might be..  so it time for you to think twice before sharing your personal things with the whole world.

remember facebook is only a web based social networking site dedicated to find friends from all over the world and stay connected with them.. that does not mean that you have to share your whole life with them. so i suggest you to make some restrictions to your facebook account and change your privacy settings immediately and also dont forget to share your posts about your private life only with your trustful and closest friends. with the new updated  facebook friends list it will be easy for you. so start using them for your own good. and be more cautious  when you tag in your friends in your photos. because you will never know a fake person who pretends to be your friend.

World has lost An Amazing Inventor

October 6, 2011 2 comments

Apple co founder, Inventor and visionary genius Steve jobs has passed away today aged 56, Leaving us alone with all the great next genaration inventions he introduced to the world.  he always made our everyday life easier by making it easy to find music or connect to the internet or even use a pc on the go. and we will remember him in every time we use those brilliant inventions.

he was a great role model  to most of the tech geniuses in the world. he changed the world every year with a new invention.. and he always kept his competition with intel by never accepting  second place. apple company only survived because of him. he was the visionary genius who was behind all the success of the company.. he was the inventor who made all the greatest inventions..  so simply apple has just lost their main processor..  lets hope they have a backup plan.. because without steve now they also have to make the iphone 5 from the scratch..

after contributing his great work for the apple company he left his CEO position about a month ago..  it was a shoking news to  the people around the world. so the news of his death was even more unbelievable for the most of the people. he was suffering from the rare pancreatic cancer.  he knew he only had a limited time.. he mentioned that several times.. he said that knowing about his short time, made him to make the best choices in his life..

As the Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook said : “Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being”

Rest In Peace Steve Jobs You will always live among our memories as a legendary inventor.
